About me
My journey with pottery began in the basement of my dorm in college, eventually taking me to create in studios around the world. I began creating ceramics while at Yale, from causally spending my free time learning to throw and trim, to eventually managing a studio. In my final semester at Yale in 2023, I took my first formal class: Ceramic Ritual and Performance, where I created my first interactive dinner set.
In 2024, I went on to participate in the Atelier Tremplin residency at AIR Vallauris in the south of France. For the final exhibition, “Invitation au Voyage”, I created a second dinner set, a self-reflection breakfast set, as well as several decorative pieces.
I have thrown with local clay in each studio I work in, from the US to France and Rwanda, and enjoy creating with what the earth has to offer in each location I create pottery. I also enjoy creating commissioned pieces, customizing form for function based on what the piece(s) will be used for.
I hope that each of my pieces, created by my hands to be held by yours, can foster connection and reflection during the inbetween moments of everyday life.
